The Ohio School Counselor Evaluation System (OSCES) Evaluator Training will prepare an evaluator of school counselors, as defined by the role you serve in a Local Educational Agency (LEA), for effective, high-quality and consistent school counselor evaluation using the Evaluation Framework for School Counselors as adopted by the State Board of Education in April 2016 (updated December 2022). To become a certificated evaluator of school counselors in the State of Ohio, an individual must successfully complete a one-day training delivered by an OSCES state trainer. Upon successful completion of the training, a certificate of completion will be issued for verification. The training will provide better understanding of the OSCES Framework and Model and allow practice of skills and sharing of resources and best practices in educator evaluation. This one-day session is required for all evaluators of school counselors. It is highly recommended that the evaluator and school counselor(s) attend this session together.

No cost for Aligned Member Districts | $100 per person for Non-Member Districts.
The cost for Non-Member Districts is $100.00 per participant. Payment or purchase order must be received prior to the first day of training. Payment may be made in the form of a credit card, check, or purchase order made payable to the ESC of Eastern Ohio. Please include the title & date(s) of your training along with your payment. Credit Card payment can be made through the ESC Payment Portal.
