SEL, Wellness and Prevention

Last Updated: 4/2/2021 5:51 PM

Together we will choose to promote mental wellness by: encouraging trauma informed practice, supporting social and emotional learning, advocating for mental health supports, and engaging educators, students, and their families in prevention.

Our Prevention 101 Professional Development session offers a 1-hour introduction to the tenets of prevention.

The Social Emotional Learning Series is an opportunity to examine one’s strengths and assets, and develop an individual plan of action through a 5-part professional development series. The SEL series is available for all school staff in collaboration with our Teaching and Learning Department.

A book study of All Learning is Social and Emotional: Helping Students Develop Essential Skills for the Classroom and Beyond provides thoughtful discussion with participants.
